#8 WWE will introduce Women’s Tag Team Championships at Evolution
The rumor of WWE introducing Women’s Tag Team Championships has been doing some rounds from a while now. Initially, it was rumored that the company will be unveiling the titles around SummerSlam 2018, but now its rumored to take place at the upcoming WWE: Evolution pay-per-view.
Since the card has been leaked for the aforementioned PPV, the rumor seems to be more than just a rumor, as a special announcement segment has been mentioned in the card.
And keeping that in mind, if there are Tag Team Championships, WWE also needs a tag team to hold the titles, and I guess, due to this Alexa Bliss vs Trish Stratus has been changed to a tag team match. Maybe WWE is considering Trish Stratus and Lita to be the inaugural WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
#7 All In-2
All In- The Biggest Independent Wrestling Show Ever, took place this past month. The event in itself was a huge success for independent promotions as well as for Cody Rhodes who set-up the matches for the aforementioned PPV, all by himself.
He brought best of the best superstars at the event, not to mention Rey Mysterio, Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho, from the different promotions around the world. Judging by its success and popularity, All In-2 needs to happen.
Also, recently Cody has hinted the same. And keep in mind that the last time it was held at the Sears Centre, Chicago with a space of handling 11,000 people was sold out instantly, so it’d make sense for All In-2 to happen at a much bigger venue such as Madison Square Garden.
#6 Royal Rumble 2019 to have a repeat winner
Witnessing one of the big four PPV’s, Royal Rumble is always exciting because you never know which legend may appear from the past and beat today’s superstar. We’re just a few months away starting point of the WrestleMania season, Royal Rumble and you know rumors, yes they have already started to float around.
According to one of them, next year’s Rumble is expected to have a repeated winner. Not to mention that once Andràde Cien Almas was favorite to win the who thing but guess what? Not Anymore.
According to the rumor, The Rock is all set to return at the aforementioned PPV and win the Rumble and will possibly go on to face Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship.
#5 Nikki Cross will re-join SaNiTY
Nikki Cross was the most dominant factor in her Sanity group back at NXT. But when the insane ones were called up to the main roster, Nikki was left behind on the yellow brand. While the rest members were performing on SmackDown Live brand.
It has been reported that from a few weeks Nikki Cross has been seen working in the blue brand’s live event. Also, it’s rumored that she might make her main roster debut sooner rather than later on the blue brand and will possibly re-join SaNiTY.
Just try to imagine what will be the scene of SD Live tag team as well as of women’s tag team division when Nikki Cross will join Sanity once again. What type of insane things you will see there, you never know.
#4 Huge plans for 1,000th SmackDown
This coming Tuesday WWE SmackDown is all set to deliver their 1000 edition. As big of an event it’s the same would be the plans for it. WWE has already announced that The Undertaker, Evolution (Ric Flair, Triple H, Randy Orton, and Batista), Rey Mysterio, Edge, and Michelle McCool will appear on a special evening.
Also, Kane, Torrie Wilson, Teddy Long, Vickie Guerrero, Shane McMahon, Hulk Hogan, and The Rock are rumored to appear on the same show.
And keep in mind that when these legends will appear together on the same show there is no way that this night will go forgotten, especially when Evolution is appearing.
Also, it’s rumored that The Brahma Bull will not only just appear because of the huge milestone hit by blue brand, to set up his future matches.
#3 Chris Jericho will make his Impact debut this coming Sunday
Ever since Chris Jericho joined forces with WWE he didn’t work for any other promotion until, he recently appeared on NJPW (where he won IWGP Intercontinental Championship), and at the All In pay-per-view.
Since Y2J started working as a part-timer in WWE, he said, he won’t work for any other U.S based promotion except WWE, but his recent appearance at the biggest independent PPV ever, All In proved that’s not the case. Also, Jericho has been recently linked with Impact Wrestling.
He’s rumored to appear at Impact’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view this coming Sunday. Thus far it’s not clear what will be his role or what will he do there but the most logical option for him is to answer Eli Drake’s open challenge.
#2 The Street Profits to be added to The New Day
Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins, together known as “The Street Profits” are red hot working on NXT brand. Due to the charisma that both men bring to the table, there are considered as the main roster guys who will be joining SmackDown Live’s The New Day.
Their work on the yellow brand has impressed many people due to which they are now looked like the main roster guys.
Ever since rumors started to float around saying, The New Day might break up at some point in time but the recent statements made by New Day’s Xavier Wood, clear the breeze that the same will not happen ever.
So be seeing the situation WWE might have started to consider new things for the group such as adding Ford and Dawkins. I guess, there adding to the Power of Positivity will freshen up things on SmackDown Live and with New Day too.
#1 Brand Split will be coming to an end
WWE Raw and SmackDown split two years ago just to increase the supremacy of both brands, which obviously did.
Ever since then the two brands were allotted their own PPV’s, the same came to an end earlier this year as both brands have already started to share every single PPV.
